Thirty years of coir
from the backwaters of Alappuzha.
Classic Coir Factory — natural coir fibre, yarn, geotextiles, mats and cocopeat, shipped from India’s coir capital to importers in over 20 countries since 1995.
Built where the coir industry was born.
Alappuzha is India’s coir capital. Classic Coir Factory was established here in 1995 — in the same district that gave the world its first coir exports.
The factory sits at the heart of Kerala’s backwater network, where coconut palms line every canal and fibre processing is a tradition measured in generations. Over thirty years we have built a direct-export operation that ships natural coir to buyers in North America, Europe, Australia and the Gulf. Every stage — from raw husk to finished product — happens under one roof.
“Natural. Durable. Biodegradable. — coir the way it has always been made.”
A coir house, first.
Natural coconut fibre and its full value chain — raw fibre to geotextile, yarn to finished mat, cocopeat to grow-bag insert. Every consignment traced to production batch.
Audit-grade on every consignment.
From moisture content to tensile strength — our quality process runs from raw material intake to final packing. Full documentation is complete before the container is sealed.
Sample to shipping documents in four moves.
Built around how US and EU importers actually order — specification upfront, quality-checked, FOB or CIF on request.
Twenty country buyers. Three regulatory regimes.
North America and Europe take the majority of our output — geotextiles, mats and cocopeat. The balance supplies Australia, the Gulf, Japan and our domestic wholesale network.
Real fibre. Real process.
